Real Life Vs. Internet....A Neverending Debate
I'm posting this as a result of a conversation i recently had in Messenger with a friend.
Is the internet real life?
I believe so. I've tackled this subject before and honestly, it really frustrates me when people make statements like:
"I was with my Real Life friends..."
"Well in Real Life...."
etc etc...
Why is the net not considered "Real Life?" We are alive, the world is still spinning, birds are chirping, cars are moving. We do not enter an alternate plane of existence when we get online. Time does not stop. The people we meet here are not figments of our imagination nor are they existing on another plane.
Now i know that some people when interacting on the web will adopt false personas, exaggerate their existence, and the like (hell i've done it) That is just fine and dandy as i believe that the web can be a place where you CAN be whomever you choose, BUT you are still living breathing and existing on planet earth and the net is PART of your life. REAL LIFE. So to make statments like those mentioned above is, in my view, ridiculous.
This is my life and those i encounter in this area of my life are as real to me as those i come into physical contact with on a day to day basis. I will call you friend no matter where you live, how we met, or how we interact. I will not divide my life into Real and Internet for it makes no sense.
So in the words of Forrest Gump....."That's all i have to say about that!"

In the morning light i sat
letting warm fingers of light
brush my skin
In the morning light i watched
darkened clouds creep
over shadowed mountain peaks
In the morning light i breathed
sweet waves of scent-sations
drifting from swaying fields
In the morning light i listened
to a symphony
of nature and industry
In the morning light i laid
beside male perfection
wrapped in silk and mattress
In the morning light i wept
at the beauty of it all

It's been a few days since i've written anything and that isnt surprising considering the many tasks i've been trying to complete by this coming Monday. As you can see i've redesigned this page (AGAIN) and i'm very happy with the outcome. I really need a zapper that will electrocute me if i try and change anything within a one month timeframe. Maybe Helpee can whip something up for me ::snicker::
Anyhow there is nothing newsworthy to report. Life is beautifully boring for now. Just the way i love it!
Until we meet again....

I miss the days of laying around half naked drenched in the stale scent of turntables and too much sweat. The days when i would have to pry my lids open with slight reservations about daylight and its effects on my eyes.
I miss the days of pushing from sleep with Ryans beats dancing around the ceiling, leaving a trail to his space when opened up laid upon me a blanket of delicious aural sensations that no other has yet to reproduce.
I miss the days of Sadie kisses and Val curled beside me bathing and guarding my slumber. Days where the whirl of commerce and corruption could not penetrate the fortress in which i lounged while covered in pitbull kisses and silky sheets.
I miss the days of Ramen. Cable cords, microphones, and steamy noodles dressing the stage for an endless array of characters to dance upon. While the pulsing vibrations emitted from fingertips, hips, vinyl discs and dissipated into the desert night.
I miss the days of naked swims. Shedding the little scraps of clothing stuck to our flesh. 127 degrees of Phoenix floating about our bodies, nipples saluting the palms, as we dove into crystal blue coolness.
I miss the days......

Life has been crazy.
Not that my life isn't normally crazy mind you, its just been crazier than normal. Mom is in town from Texas visiting for sister Caitlin's gradumatation so this whole week has been spent idolizing and doting upon miss caities achievements. As well as spending Q.T. with mom and new hubby john. This is the reason for my absence in this page. Plus the fact that i just got my new domain up and running w00t! So i've been busy trying to get some pages and stuff up there as well. Thank god monday is coming and my life will be back to its normal pace. Until then fair bloggers....adieu.

Your voice
has
haunted me for weeks.
Your call
surprised
the hell out of me.
Your statement
left me
confused for hours.
Your voice
has
haunted me for weeks.
Your desertion
shattered
my soul completely
Your return
scares
me to death.
Your voice
has
haunted me for weeks.
Your touch
has
haunted me much longer.

Why did I read someone's political blog? ::heh::
Politics always get me fizzy!
The gist of the post was a protest in France while our oh so wonderful (hear the sarcasm?) president was visiting in honor of D-Day. After reading the topic and the responses i almost made a comment myself, but realized it would take up too much space so i moved over here and ::drumroll:: now for my thoughts:
Everyone has an opinion.
Everyone has a belief.
Everyone has an ideal.
Everyone has the right to these things.
It's not about freedom, but humanity.
Protesting at a memorial service isn't generally a great idea, though it happens. Those that truly feel passionate about something will always band together and try to be heard memorial service or not. That is fine by me. I am not going to get all hot in the pants because there is protesting going on at a memorial site or on the day for which the memorial was erected. It's not as if there is a "live" funeral going on. Memorials = Testaments to the PAST....get over it! It is a great thing to honor the dead and the fallen heros of war memorials but COME ON they're dead....i highly doubt they care if a bunch of French people are voicing their political views at a political memorial on the anniversary of a political event!!!!!!!!! ::whew::
More to the point is the reason behind the protest.
After Sept. 11th all Americans could see was "payback" that is our mindset. You DON'T fuck with America period! It was a tragic day, but no the first of its kind that the world has seen. What made it different was that it took place on American soil. Now all of a sudden America is on a misson to rid the world of terrorism? We didn't really give a rats ass til it hit home did we? Now we should all hail Bush as a hero for taking out Saddam? Bullshit! Our president couldn't give the American people Osama so he aimed his guns at Saddam in the name of defending freedom and fighting terrorism. He ordered an attack on a country without any provocation in the name of Freedom and Justice. Justice for whom i ask constantly. He promised we would find WMD's hell its a year later and we're still fucking looking. Now we have prison abuse issues, the guerilla attacks, America's children dying and the list goes on and on. So what's a little protesting at a memorial site?
